What is Reiki?
Rei-Ki (pronounced Ray-key) is an ancient hands-on healing system based on channelling
spiritual energy. It is believed to be at least 2,500 years old, it came originally from the Mu people, was passed to Tibetan Buddhist monks and
re-discovered in the 1800's by Mikao Usui.
The Usui System of Reiki is a very simple but powerful
healing technique that is easily given and received by anyone.
For the purpose of brevity in this web site, Reiki can be defined as the spiritually guided universal life force. This is the most accepted interpretation of the word and sums up the experience most people have of the energy.
